As its half term we decided to go and pick some pumpkins as we had never picked them before. We had a lovely drive up to the countryside nearby and we found a few undamaged ones in a huge field…my sons loved having turns in the wheelbarrow. I love the mis shapeness of them and decided to sketch them before we carve them for Halloween. I decided to combine the sketch with an old photo of myself and some tags with favourite quotes on them.
“I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself than be crowded on a velvet cushion” Henry David Thoreau
“No Spring nor Summer beauty hath such grace as I have seen in one Autumnal face” John Donne
