Cezanne colour

inspired by cezanne
For the third week of the Studying under the Masters course it is Cezanne. I have a lovely old book full of Cezanne paintings which it was nice to read again for inspiration. I had a go at painting these two little boards with a palette knife…it forces you to be loose, layered and fast which is the way I like to paint.

Happy Sunday sketchers (pop over to see a wonderful poppy tutorial)

and Happy Mix it Monthly

  1. I can´t say it enough, I totally adore your loose and joyful art, Lorraine! The fabulous profilepainting is soo adorable! I am a big fan of chezanne too and my last cezanne inspired piece is the one with the two ladies playing cards…I have to paint with my pallette knive way more often, haha, thank you for the inspiration!
