Purple is the colour

This week I finished adding a crochet edge and pockets to little charity shop jacket. I am still sewing the hem to a cumberbund dressfrom a vintage pattern I made. I also visited a great fabric shop in North Wales where I spotted this huge roll of jersey fabric for under £4! By the shop was this very surreal looking abandoned ship. This weeks simple watercolour is called I assumed..to see a larger view and read the accompanying poem click here

  1. LOVE your up-fashioning (new made up word by me???) of the jacket!!! Great buy on the fabric. Also love the photo of the abandoned ship. Nice art and interpretation of the poem Lorraine. Happy PPF!

  2. OH !!!!! I love what you have done with the jacket. It’s so much fun to repurpose and upcycle a thrift store find. I’m working on a wool jacket now 🙂 The watercolour is so pretty and almost surreal, LOVE IT!!!!!! Do like the photo of the abandoned ship too. Kind of spook and beautiful at the same time.
