Last week was very hot and sunny which I was glad about as we had lots of family parties…so far this week it has been cold and windy so just drinking my mint tea today with a little chocolate bar before my sons return home. I have made lots of Welsh birthday cards this week which I donate to the unitarian chapel I attend. The rock n roll one though was for my husbands birthday yesterday. I had fun doing another mad cartoon figure page for the mix it monthly lyrics challenge which I am enjoying.

My parents have their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday so I made this card for them..hoping the rain stays away for a family party too on that day.
Now I am sitting here with my coffee planning the busy week as my sons are off school and noticed this quote : Would you like an adventure or shall we have our tea first?…sounds like a good idea..a time to pause, plan and think.

I made this napkin ring in craft group using ribbons, buttons and oven liner..love how it turned out so had lunch outside under the umbrella in the rain. After craft group I spotted this old tin full of buttons in a charity shop for £2..I love old tins especially full of buttons.

..just woke up to terrible news that there has been a terrorist attack at the Manchester arena not far from me with many young lives lost..please can you all say a little prayer for all those lost in this tragedy..such times as these brings the community together rather than divides..the good in peoples hearts will always prevail

my son and I tried Yo Sushi today so here is my lovely green tea and all the little bowls going around on the conveyor belt..it was quite expensive but glad I tried it.
Took my Dad out to visit the lovely Stonyford Cottage garden nursery in Oakmere, Cheshire..recommend its a beautiful garden with lots of mini lakes, bridges and swans with their cygnets. We had a lovely cup of proper Yorkshire tea and some paninnis
I finished this wool painting yesterday and put it in a lovely frame which I painted. I love painting with wool and think I will do quite a few of these and maybe sell some.
I have wanted to get back to mixed media art pieces instead of painting for awhile now. So this week I have been doing lots of gardening and in one of the seed packets was a tiny tube so I got my box of embellishments down and decided to make something pretty. So I used grungeboard, magnets, ink, wood and various embellishments to make this piece. I was going to make my own perfume oil to go in the little bottle but found this lovely perfume oil in primarni!
