Had a little bit of time today to make some cards using some more new Chinese diecuts and washi tape for a change for crafting by designs washi challenge. I love these stamps and think the words are so true..”creative clutter is better than idle neatness” and “take a little time for yourself”..so important
Spent some time with a friend today and we had this delicious mediterranean platter at a favourite vegan cafe nearby after helping her move her some equipment
Here is my creative clutter desk with my new dies..stocking up on them before they go up in price! Check out whats happening on other creative desks in the WOYWW challenge.
January can be seen as very puritanical with all these diets going around..I firmly believe in year long healthy eating , going the gym and enjoying life! I made this pretty little tag for the cupcake inspirations challenge 437.
of course after making the tag early in the morning I wanted to do some baking..my sons love the messy chocolate whilst I like the orange zest one…I use a hairy dieters skinny cupcake recipe and they are delicious.
happy tea tuesday
let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me. Playing around with paint and collage for the mix it monthly art challenge over on fb and the anything goes challenge over at country view
Just been to the park with my sons to play football and was inspired by the trees to make this little card using some more of the painted backgrounds I did this morning. I used some lovely woodland stamps from a magazine for the stamping sensations cold and frosty challenge..it was definitely cold and frosty in the park!
Took my sons to see the latest star wars movie this morning and came home to find my dies had arrived from China. I love them and as you can see they cut beautifully. I use the trick of putting wood glue on the back of my hand to add just the right amount of glue. I also use a knitting needle and a pokey too used for nail care to get the diecuts out. Be sure to wash your hands quickly though and put lots of nice hand cream on after.
Joining in with the paper creator craft challenge today
My husband bought me the Dawn French me you diary book for Christmas but I wanted to cover it. Today inspired by a post I saw on Splitcoast Stampers I decided to use some papers that I have had for awhile. Today my sons were assembling some ikea storage and there was little cardboard boxes in the packaging The bike is stamped on one of these and I have put flowers through it using a needle. I have coloured the flowers black with a pemanent marker as red would have been too garish. It so nice to wake up very early and have time to make something just for ourselves isnt it.
Joining in with moving along with the times challenge to day which is flowers.
Another little house using my new gingerbread tonic die this time inserting scrapbook elements in the roof. So important to have time for tea, to dream and create everyday even if you have to get up really early before your sons for a bit of me time!
See more posts below to see further ideas for this die.
Happy tea Tuesday
Everybody art challenge
Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas and new year celebrations. Today was a day for sorting out and I had time to make a monochrome card for the card mania challenge and also for anything goes love to scrap challenge .. My husband bought me the Dawn French me you diary for Christmas and I picked up a lovely health and happiness planner from wilkos and a day to day planner from b n m. Its nice to decorate these and make them your own and Victoria Thatcher has some colourful free printables.
Enjoy the rest of your day and Im not really one to make resolutions but think my word for this year will be “connect” so intend to do a lot more blogging this year and explore new challenge sites.
