Tea wellbeing

Its been a difficult week as my Dad has been in hospital thankfully he is back home now. last week I started going to a new gym..its a fantastic place and I drive past the river to get there..today I enjoyed a delicious proper pot of tea after a relaxing swim, steam and jacuzzi..so important to have time for ourselves.  we have been having a mini heatwave so the paddling pool has been out in the back garden and last night I made this little arty postcard for the UK Stampers swap..inspired by the prisoner tv series called “you r more than just a number”

happy tea tuesday

and also to a new challenge blog for me Try it on Tuesday as suggested in the comments

  1. Lorraine, I am so very sorry to read your father has not been well. I hope he continues to improve.

That is a fantastic postcard. You draw so well. You should enter it in Try it on Tuesday’s latest challenge which is letters and/or numbers. The link is on my right sidebar. Several of the design team are part of our weekly T party, too. I know they would welcome you with open arms as they have me in the past.

Yes, it’s wonderful to be able to sit and enjoy a proper pot of tea. I see you prefer it with milk, too. For some reason, we in the states seem to prefer it with lemon, but being of British descent, I also prefer my tea white.

Thanks for sharing your lovely hand drawn and painted postcard and your lovely tea break with us for T this Tuesday. Hope you’ve cooled off by now.

  2. Sorry to read about your Dad I hope he is recovering well. It was good to read you found somewhere to relax and have time to yourself.
It is a wonderful detailed post card and like Elizabeth mentioned it would be lovely to you you join us at Try it on Tuesdays.
    Happy T day.
    Yvonne xx

  3. So sorry to hear about your Dad, it’s so hard to see a loved one unwell and I’m wishing him a speedy recovery! Your message about health and fitness is so important, I find exercise re-energising and good for my soul too :-). Wonderful postcard and it ties in well to the tv show and phrase. Wishing you a Happy T Day! J 🙂

  4. Hoping your Dad continues to recover-illness is just difficult as we get older too-hugs to you both.
Loving your postcard, I have been in a slump since my vacation so I really need to get back to my exercises too-in the house as it is hot and humid here too.

    Happy T Day

  5. I hope your dad continues to improve and that you get a much-needed break, Lorraine. Your numbers card is delightful and perfect for the challenge! The original Prisoner series with Patrick McGoohan was a favorite of mine. I haven’t seen the remake(s).

    Happy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen

  6. Glad you are getting a bit of time to ourself and that your Dad continues improve! I love your card! The Prisoner used to be a puzzler at times but we always watched it! So pleased you joined us at Try It On Tuesday! Oh! and belated Happy T Day! Chrisx

  7. Sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he gets better soon. It’s such a worry, isn’t it.
Your card is lovely. Of course I have not Heard of the series you mentioned, but that doesn’t matter.
How wonderful to be able to go to a gym with all that luxury. For me a luxury would be to just have air conditioning in the gym. Let alone a pool, steam room or jacuzzi.
    Happy belated T-Day,
    Lisca
