Happy mail n gardening

very pleased to be featured in the spring issue of Haute Handbags 100 favourites

dont you just love this quote..I was being a rebel at the weekend though and had coffee surrounded by trendy student types..think I was the oldest there at leaf bar off bold st, Liverpool

here is my ikea hack..I bought a few of these white holders but never really used them so decided to drill holes for drainage and screw them on to this trellis to cover a boring fence that was in shade so hardly anything grew there..going to fill the bottom troughs with different types of ferns I think.

Happy Tea or Coffee Tuesday

Sunny sewing

First day of the vernal equinox today so hoping for a bit more warmer weather.  Decided to use some colourful material to make this star window panel..will finish it later on today. I always like to support a little old lady who sells material at a local market so bought some more material off her and made this scarf to go with my jacket. At the weekend I made this delicious banana cake and yesterday at craft group we made these bling eggs and decorated a little box using pistachio shells!

Happy Tea Tuesday

Spring here soon

The weather is gradually warming up and Spring will soon be here which definitely makes everyone happier.  Yesterday at craft group we did some glass painting which I think looks lovely on my windowsill. Today I went to knit and natter at a cafe in the local park..its lovely to walk through the park looking at all the emerging crocus bulbs and of course while I was there we all had a nice cuppa with our knitting or crochet in my case..lovely group of women and we have poetry readings too. I also wanted to make some easter type tags so played around with some rabbit stamps and papers.

Happy Tea Tuesday

Its been awhile since ..

I played with paint. Recently I tidied up my craft space and found some canvas boards and old paints so decided to have a go inspired by the birds at the feeder in my garden for the top painting and the blackbirds for the second painting..daisies will soon be appearing on my lawn now the weather has warmed up a bit.

Joining in and celebrating with Paint Party Friday for their 7th year

Cards, crochet n bara brith

Now the weather is getting slightly milder I have been able to get in my craft corner in the conservatory so have been making cards this week for mums day which is this Sunday and also Welsh birthday cards too as it was St Davids day this week.  My mum is Welsh and she gave me a Welsh recipe book so decided to make bara brith today I will bake it when I cook the evening meal.  Yesterday I had a wander around the charity shops and stopped off for a coffee and a teacake..love the surprise words that met me when I drank some coffee..so dont forget everybody your awesome! This morning I went to a new knit and natter group which was really welcoming with poetry readings whilst we were knitting or in my case crocheting.  I have been having a go at rug making of an evening as I picked up a kit in a charity shop..Im not following the pattern but am thinking waves at the moment…have a nice week.
